Chanukah Playing Cards

This is a 54-card set that contains the symbols, customs, and historic events of the Jewish holiday of Chanukah (Festival of Lights) and 2 Joker cards. This is ideal for learning about Chanukah in a fun way. Each card comes with a picture and caption in both English and Hebrew. The captions for each set of 13 cards are:

1. Greek - the oppressor
2. Maccabean - the defender
3. Oil - G-d's miracle of the oil
4. Circumcision - one of the 3 Torah commandments prohibited by the Greeks
5. Head of the Month - one of the 3 Torah commandments prohibited by the Greeks
6. Sabbath - one of the 3 Torah commandments prohibited by the Greeks
7. 25 Kislev - Chanukah 8-day festival begins
8. Menorah - holy vessel of The Temple and to publicize the Chanukah miracle
9. Blessings - recited during Chanukah before and after lighting the Menorah
10. Dreidel - custom of playing spinning tops to publicize the miracle
11. Feast - custom of eating dairy and oily foods
12. Gift - for the children for their learning of the Torah
13. Charity - custom of giving charity from the source that the miracle of Chanukah (נס חנוכה) carries the same gematria as charity (צדקה)
